Boardgame Project

For the second year of my GCSE Graphic Design course I worked on a extended project to create a board game aimed at children. The theme of the project wasn't set and was open to individual creativity. Therefore I chose to go along the educational route and produce a Geography based board game themed around a treasure hunt and featuring the wonders of the world.

The project consisted of multiple elements due to the complexity of the product itself. A logo first had to be created before the other elements of the game could be produced such as the box, board, counters, question cards and instructions.

Development of the box graphics and how they may layout
Once the packaging and logo designs had been developed the remaining elements of the product were then produced such as graphics for the board and the design of the counters.

The images above show the final product that was produced. The card parts were produced using a laser cutter and the graphics applied on top to wrap the nets. The board also features 3D landmarks that were produced from card that slots into holes in the board.
